January 27 not a good weekI haven't been doing so well this week. Only went to the gym 3 times for about 30 to 40 mins each time. Not doing much in the morning or evening and the eating is not been good. Just a lot of emotional stuff with the kids (my youngest is 19, you'd think I'd be past that!) but I have never been good a distanceing myself from my kids and all their problems, and I eat to deal with it..... not good. Praying this next week does better. I felt so off this week,I skipped the weigh in just so I didn't have to worry about that on top of the rest. Well, hoping for the best.....Vicki January 19 Wichita tourToday we went to Towne East shopping mall in Wichita for the Million Pound Matchup Tour. Jim and Julie from season 4 were there. They were both very nice and took time to visit and and write short messages on either a DVD or book from the Biggest Loser that was given out free. They didn't try to rush anyone, we got to take pics and they were just so very nice. I posted some of the pictures I took while we were there along with a picture of the people who run the gym, Total Solutions, that we go to. They had a booth there next to the Biggest Loser studio. There was quite a line and I'm glad we got there early. We were in the first 20 or so in line. Glad we went and now I need to start looking at the new book "The Biggest Loser Fitness Program" that we got (Cindy and I both got the book, I already have one of the DVD's from the biggest loser and 5 of Jillian's)! January 16 week 2We weighed in for the first time on Jan 2nd, lost only one pound the first week and then today was the end of our 2nd week and I lost 3 lbs. So there has been some inprovement finally. I told my husband as many times as I have gone up and down 50 to 60 lbs usually quickly, maybe it will last this time if I just focus on 1-2 lbs a week and give myself the whole year to take it off (my gym membership is for another 18 mths anyway LOL). The workout was good today. I told Kyle (trainer) that I don't mind being tired and sore, I expect that but I just want to keep it short of being sick like last week. That was not fun. Worked out for 30-40 mins at home this morning and then 45 mins at the gym. I figure if it worked for 3 lbs last week on this schedule, I just keep with it. Will write more later this week and again after the Million Pound matchup tour here in Wichita on Sat. I'm taking my camera, so will post some pics. Keep up the good work to all. Vicki wed 1.16Today is weigh in later at the gym and also another session with our trainer Kyle. I just pray that it get a bit easier with time, because right now it is really hard. Also keeping good thoughts that this weigh in is better than the one pound from the first week. I didn't get to the gym Tuesday, I did some workout at home, but I did get there twice Monday for 30 mins each visit. Eating it getting easier to manage though I still feel like "snacking" a lot, but I did get Extra gum to help with that. Good Luck to all. Vicki
January 14 another weekIt's the start of another week and for me a new starting point. I figure if the previous week was good or bad, every Monday is a new start. And seeing as my first week and a half of this challenge as been well.... a challenge; a new starting point is good. I have only lost one pound and am having a time getting it all together food wise and exercise wise. I did "take a day off" on Sunday I admit, not really eating I still followed my plan except for the popcorn at the movies. My husband and I spent the day with our 3 oldest granddaughters. They went with us to church, spent a few hours at our house and then we took them to the new Veggie Tales movie. Cori is 8, Olivia is 4 and Raven is 2. We had a good day and hopefully that will carry over to a good week. Looking forward to this Sat to see the Biggest Loser Tour in Wichita! Good Luck to all. Vicki
January 12 weekend yeahOk I did get to one of my goals this week and that is I did go to the gym Monday thru Friday even though most days it was only for 30-45 mins most days because of my work schedule and their hours, but I did do it. I also got up and did a one mile walk video 2 mornings before work. I'm off to a very slow beginning and it's disappointing but hopefully things will turn around soon. I'm going to meet Cindy at the local rec center this morning for a workout since our gym is closed on weekends. I did much better on eating Thursday and Friday until I went out with my husband and another couple for dinner last night....not good! Still don't have the will power for that, but we don't go out much. Praying for a good weekend. Good luck all. Vicki
January 11 excited!!HAD AN AWESOME WORKOUT WEDNESDAY WITH OUR TRAINER KYLE TOUGH BUT AWESOME.I WISH I COULD PUSH MYSELF THAT HARD WITHOUT SOMEONE THERE TELLING ME TO KEEP GOING ,BUT HOPEFULLY AFTER I WORK WITH HIM FOR AWHILE AND I LOSE SOME WEIGHT MY ENERGY WILL COME BACK AND I WILL BE ABLE TO PUSH MYSELF HARDER EACH TIME.EVEN THOUGH I WAS SORE AS HECK I TURNED AROUND AND WENT BACK THURSDAY AND PUSHED MYSELF TO DO THE SAME ROUTINE HE HAD SHOWED ME ON WEDNESDAY OF COURSE I DID'NT PUSH MYSELF PAST THE POINT WHEN I WANTED TO QUIT,LIKE KYLE SAID ARE YOU READY TO QUIT ALRIGHT THEN GO ANOTHER MINUTE,BUT I HAVE CINFIDENCE THAT I WILL GET TO WHERE I PUSH MYSELF MORE AND MORE EACH TIME.WELL ITS FRIDAY AND IM OFF TO MY WORK OUT,GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!!!!!!! Cindy January 09 oh my gosh!Today was our first workout with our trainer Kyle, and I have decided that if I were on the biggest loser, they would be carrying me off in a body bag in about 20 mins max.! I thought I was going to die and it was only a 45 min workout. At this moment even though I know it's going to be good in the long run, I am so glad we are only working out with him once a week. But I finally lost that first pound, so hopefully it's all good from here. Well, time for a bath and on to church. Will write again tomorrow. Vicki January 08 Jan 9Well today was better.... still not drinking as much water as I should but more than usual. I ate much better today; boiled egg for breakfast and some oj ; salad with sliced turkey and fat free dressing for lunch; baked potato w/low fat butter and peas. I also had one of those 100 calorie snacks and (oops) about 20 M&M's. Not great, but getting better. I also got up about 5:45 this morning and did a 20 min power walk tape before going to work. Then I went to the gym for about a 30 min workout after work. Then I rode my bike and did some floor excercise while watching the biggest loser. So like I said, not great but it's an improvement and I will take it. Praying for each day to have one more step forward to doing things the right way to get to where I want to be; thin and mostly healthy! Vicki
January 07 work out!!!went to the gym today had a good work out and lost 2 pounds since i started on the 3rd so im excited about that,got along way to go but every little bit is one step closer to success.im also looking forward to working out with our trainer(kyle)he has so much energy.the place we work out total solutions is awesome the girls that work there shelly and kelly are extremely supportive and really act like they care,and if you dont show up to work out they call asking what they can do to keep you motivated which hopefully keeps me going this time i need all the motivation i can get.last time i dieted i lost 57 pounds and felt great and my energy was great,but i have to realize that working out is a life time part of my day that i hyave to schedule in,because i quit and with in 6 months im right back where i started.well i will talk to you all soon and again good luck to you all !!!!!
